Advanced Compressor technology from LG recognised for efficiencies

Refrigerators from LG Electronics featuring the company’s Inverter Linear Compressor technology have been recognised by the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies (VDE), for their energy efficiency and quiet performance.

VDE, one of Europe’s largest and most respected scientific and technical associations, conducts around 100,000 tests annually for national and international manufacturers such as LG.

The tests concluded that LG refrigerators with Inverter Linear Compressor technology proved to be around 32% more energy efficient than those equipped with conventional reciprocating compressors, contributing significantly to lower electricity bills. VDE also noted that LG’s product was approximately 25% quieter than a refrigerator powered by a reciprocating compressor. Measured from the front of the appliance, the Inverter Linear Compressor model emitted 22dB, equivalent to the sound level of a quiet bedroom.

The use of the Compressor also results in greater reliability and durability.
