Falmec combines artisan heritage with high-tech function

Falmec, the premium extraction and air treatment company based near Venice whose products are imported exclusively to the UK by Euroline, has created two new products that make use of locally-sourced materials and the unique traditional skills of Murano glassblowers.

The Soffio extractor – part of Falmec’s Circle Tech collection – and the Bellaria table-top air purifier, are both crafted in Murano glass. The island of Murano, near Venice, is world famous for the superlative quality of its glass artifacts, produced by hand and perfected over centuries of experience.

The Soffio, available in white or amber, features a circular canopy of hand-blown glass containing subtle lighting effects, and the design is complemented by efficient functionality including patented Circle.Tech technology and Carbon Zeo combined filter, achieving up to 86% extraction rates (compared to as little as 20% for standard charcoal filters). The unit operates at a very quiet 47-67dB, and the filter has a long life (up to 3 years) as well as being regenerable by simply placing in the oven at 200 degrees for two hours.

Prices for Soffio start at £1980.00.

The Bellaria table-top ionisation system, also hand crafted by the unique Murano artisan method, features patented E.ion technology and purifies and enhances air quality, producing beneficial negative ions that reduce pollutants such as bacteria, viruses, dust mites, pollen, spores and smoke.

Tests carried out on the Bellaria system by the University of Padua found a reduction of 85% of bacterial charge in the atmosphere when the Bellaria is active.

The product is available in Red, Yellow, White and Grey, carries a two year guarantee and is priced at  £849.00.
