Lec launches new chest freezer models

Refrigeration specialist Lec has added five new A+ energy-rated chest freezers to its collection of cooling and freezing appliances.

The models range in capacities up to 300 litres to accommodate the needs of most consumers, from large families to single occupancy households.

The CF100L MK2 and the CF150L MK2 have a net capacity of 99 litres and 142 litres respectively; the CF200L offers a net capacity of 199 litres; the CF250L and CF300L offer capacities of 249 and 295 litres.

All have user-friendly electronic temperature controls and contain a newly improved moulded plastic basket, which Lec describes as “an evolution of the traditional wire basket.” This can be used for storing small items and is said to be more durable.

The units are also tested to -15°C so can be sited in watertight outbuildings if required.

All products are fitted with a counterbalanced lid, so users can safely reach inside, and feature a bright internal LED lighting.

Stuart Netscher, Head of Category for Refrigeration at Lec parent company Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, said: “Demand for our chest freezers has increased so we wanted to expand and improve our line-up by introducing new models offering a broad range of capacities.  We have also taken the opportunity to improve the specification of our chest freezers, introducing a number of new features designed to further improve appliance performance.”
