New European Sales and Marketing Director for Toshiba TVs

Toshiba TVs has appointed Bart Kuijten to the role of European Sales and Marketing Director, responsible for the brand’s TV business in 38 countries.

Turkish manufacturer Vestel is responsible for the production, sales, marketing and supply chain functions for Toshiba-branded TVs in the European market under a brand licensing agreement entered into last year.

Kuijten, who formerly worked as Europe and ANZ Sales Director at Tech21 and General Manager for Home Entertainment at LG UK, will oversee local and pan-European strategy.

Speaking about his new role, he said: “I’m excited to be at the helm of such an important venture and look forward to building the Toshiba TV brand across Europe. This business is fearless in its pursuit of growth, making significant investment in both the brand and its product line-up.

“Just weeks after the launch of our official 2017 line-up of Toshiba TVs, we are already powering ahead, finalising a dynamic showcase for IFA 2017 as well as product ranges for 2018 and 2019.

“Working in collaboration with Toshiba’s original design team, we have a real opportunity to add some much-needed value to the mainstream sector, promising to deliver the high quality and value for which the brand has always been known.”
