Welcome to GC’s new Recruitment microsite
Welcome to GC’s new Recruitment microsite which provides the electrical goods industry with a bespoke platform to advertise all levels of job opportunities.
We launch this new feature of www.gcmagazine.co.uk at a time when the demand for talented employees is reported to be on the rise. According to the first data of 2015 from the Association of Professional Staffing Companies, recruitment agencies have 29% more vacancies on their books than this time last year, and other research shows that 37% of the UK population have the appetite to move up the job ladder.
This dramatic increase in the proportion of UK workers planning to move jobs in 2015 was revealed in a survey of more than 1,000 UK workers and managers, conducted by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). Previous surveys reported only 19% were planning to move in 2014, while just 13% planned a career move in 2013.
Add to this the opinion of Dr John Philpott, a professional economist and media commentator specialising on the labour market, who states that “the coexistence of both strong employment growth and real wage growth will make this year the best overall for the UK labour market since 2007.”
Philpott maintains that unemployment will fall to 1.7 million, with the rate dropping back to the pre-recession level of 5.2%.
So, good news all round for those looking to recruit fresh talent, and for those wanting to satisfy their ambitions to move on to new opportunities within the market.
The competition for outstanding people is escalating. With more than three-quarters of a million visits in 2014, www.gcmagazine.co.uk is the place to present your industry vacancies to the cream of the crop.
Whether you are a manufacturer, retailer, distributor or supplier of services to the electrical industry, you can now take advantage of GC’s new recruitment microsite to advertise your job vacancies, and “Get Connected” with the pool of expertise this industry has to offer.
