Ruark’s new BackPack II power module

British company Ruark Audio has developed an improved power module, the BackPack II, that turns the company’s R1 deluxe tabletop radio and MR1 wireless speakers into completely portable products. Being an externally mounted battery pack, the BackPack II does not restrict internal speaker capacity, ensuring refined sound matching the rich mains-powered performance of the R1 and MR1.

BackPack II attaches seamlessly to the R1 and MR1 and, once fitted, can be left permanently in place as it charges automatically whenever the music systems are connected to a mains power supply. Lithium-Ion battery technology delivers up to 12 hours of mains-free listening depending on volume.

BackPack II is available now through Ruark Audio’s dealer network. It has a RRP of £59.99.
