Sharp introduces its first cooking collection to UK market

Sharp Home Appliances has launched its first cooking collection, comprising ovens with capacities up to 78 litres, induction and the vitroceramic hobs in a range of finishes including a minimalist-style frameless design with bevelled diamond-cut edges, and touch-control cooker hoods with digital timers that count down the cooking process.

The new A-rated ovens offer up to 10 functions including fan-assisted and conventional programmes and double and single grilling power for better browning results.

Sharp’s RoastPro cooking gadgets are a series of professional-style accessories that come as complimentary extras with the brand’s most premium ovens. The RoastPro Turnspit ensures that even the largest of meat joints can be evenly browned, and the RoastPro Meat Probe allows meat, however delicate, to be cooked to perfection.

Sharp premium ovens are also built to compensate for any lack of cooking knowhow, as they come equipped with up to 150 auto-cooking recipes which automatically set the ideal cooking conditions.

Some products in the range offer pyrolytic cycles.

The new 60cm and 90cm hobs are Slider touch-control operated and have digital timers, boost functions, automatic heat control and a Stop&Go option to temporarily put cooking on hold. The 60cm hobs come with different sized zones to fit a wider range of cooking vessels.

These are accompanied by 60cm and 90cm wall-mounted cooker hoods with extraction rates up to 570m3/h and concentrated boosts of power up to 724m3/h. The LED-lit appliances have 4 speeds.

The 60cm model has a motion-activated Night Sensor which automatically illuminates the cooking area when someone approaches the hob.

All are touch-control operated and have digital timers that count down the cooking process, automatically switching off the appliance 15 minutes after the cooking time is complete. Sound levels are around 65dB or below.

UK Sales and Marketing Director Andy Warren said the new cooking range offers just the right support for every cook and every home, “delivering professional-style gadgetry for culinary wizards as well as on-tap mealtime rescues for cooks in trouble.”

He added that Sharp has stayed true to its ‘For Life’ promise, backing the products with 24/7 customer service by phone, chat and Twitter for round-the-clock help and advice.
