Smeg announces new Gas Safe fleet

Smeg UK has announced that a new fleet of gas installation vans is now operational, servicing the south of England, with a team of Gas Safe accredited engineers providing home delivery and installation of all the company’s gas-fuelled products.

The new Smeg-branded fleet has been introduced at time of growth for the company, which has recently opened a new eco-conscious headquarters in Abingdon, expanded its logistics infrastructure with a new Coventry hub and is planning a London flagship store.

Smeg said its latest move is an “impressive first” for the company and one which demonstrates its ongoing commitment to delivering the very best standard of service to customers.

At full capacity, the team will be able to service 9-10 orders per day comprising one-stop-shop home delivery & installation and gas exchanges in the South of England.

Smeg UK managing director Mike Giddings said: “Providing a seamless customer experience is key to the Smeg philosophy. Being able to offer a fully integrated fitting service will allow us to be part of this customer experience from start to finish, which is something that makes us very proud.

“This has been an incredible year for Smeg UK, with the launch of key new product ranges such as our premium Dolce Stil Novo range and the partnership with Dolce and Gabbana earlier this summer.

“We are keen to push forward and capitalise on the fantastic new opportunities that are ahead of us.”
