TP Vision presents new 2017 range of Philips TVs

TP Vision, exclusive brand licensee of Philips TV in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and selected countries in South America and Asia-Pacific, has announced its first-half 2017 TV range with highlight features including high-end European design, OLED, the new P5 Picture Processing Engine, Android M and Hybrid Log Gamma functionality.

TPV says the promise of the new range is delivery of even higher quality pictures, with the build quality for which the Philips brand created a strong reputation.

The 55POS9002, Philips’ second 55-inch OLED TV, is singled out by TPV as the “outstanding product” from this range. It is powered by the latest M version of the Android Smart TV system and features the new P5 picture processing engine which claims to add to the inherent qualities of OLED, offering 25% new processing features and 25% more processing power, adding up to “an overall 50% performance improvement.”

Also revealed was the 7000 series of ultra slim LED edge-lit UHD TVs, billed as “the bridge to Philips’ high-end sets” and offering an array of features at a mid-range price.

The 6400 series models are all powered by the latest M version of the Android Smart TV system, now allowing HDR content playback from Netflix.  6482 and 6412 sets come with 16GB of internal memory.
