AEG shows “intuitive appliances in taste, care and wellbeing” at IFA 2019
Electrolux, under its premium brand AEG, is unveiling a new range of seamlessly-integrated connected products billed as Innovations in Taste, Care and Wellbeing at this year’s IFA in Berlin.
Innovations in Taste include the AEG 9000 CookView® oven with three cooking modes – heat, steam and a combination of both – the latter calculates the balance of heat and steam automatically. The CookView® camera in the oven handle delivers a connected view to the ‘My AEG’ app on a smartphone.
AEG 9000 SensePro Hob: the “world-first” wireless and battery-less probe that communicates direct with the hob to set and maintain the precise temperature of food. The appliance also offers sous-vide functionality.
AEG Gourmet 7 Blender with 10° tilt, which is said to offer superior performance to handle the toughest of ingredients. Pulse options at different speeds optimise texture to provide an enhanced taste experience.
Connected AEG 8000 MultiChill Fridge Freezer: a large four-door model incorporating MultiChill for intuitive temperature management, and a middle drawer with a variety of temperatures spanning -2 to 7 degrees which can be managed according to personal preference. Connectivity supports users with timely and practical notifications.
Smarter FridgeCam™ Accessory: takes a photo of the fridge interior each time the door is closed so users can see the contents on their smart device.
AEG Flat Door Fridge-Freezer: a new premium design with matt black exterior and stainless steel interior. The steel is conductive and so air temperature rapidly returns to an optimal level after the fridge door has been opened. The design allows the appliance to sit completely flush against other kitchen appliances and requires zero clearance when the door is opened.
AEG 9000 ComfortLift Dishwasher with QuickSelect Controls (also comes under Innovations in Taste for some reason or other): iF Design & Red Dot Award winner which takes the effort out of loading and unloading the dishwasher as the lower rack lifts to improve access to dishes. The appliance features an intuitive user-interface for selecting the runtime with touch-slider control. The connected version also takes the guesswork out of optimal use and maintenance. Used with the ‘My AEG’ app, step by step guidance is provided so the dishwasher runs at its best.
Innovations in Care include the AEG 9000 laundry pair (shown at IFA 2019 for the first time). Washing machine and tumble dryer duo with black control panels forming part of a minimalist design statement. The appliances are said to bring the best technology from AEG washers and dryers together for the first time, offering synchronised cycles for a ‘seamless
flow’ laundry concept of washing and drying. One fully automated programme provided on the My AEG app covers the use of both machines for best results.
Connected AEG 9000 Washer Dryer with SensiDry® Technology: provides a wash to dry cycle in three hours for up to 3kg of laundry. SensiDry® tailors the programme to different fabrics so clothing retains its shape and condition. The heat pump appliance dries at low temperatures, saving up to 40% on energy and water compared to AEG condenser machines.
AEG Absolute 8000 Steam Station Iron with PrecisionCare™: offers dedicated steam and heat programmes for individual fabrics, accessed via an intuitive touch-screen control. The unit incorporates an outdoor programme that restores and maintains the water repellent finish of fabrics.
Innovations in Wellbeing: the AEG QX9 “silent” cordlessstick cleaner with Auto Function automatically adjusts the airflow and suction to suit the surface being cleaned and optimises dust pickup. Billed as “the ultimate home accessory.
