AEG washing machine makes it four T3 Awards in a row

AEG’s 9000 SERIES L9FEC966R washing machine has been named“Best Washing Machine” in the T3 Awards 2021. It is the fourth consecutive year that AEG has taken the T3 title.

The machine was cited for its “outstanding cleaning performance, remarkable soft water technology and visual design,” and contains a range of winning features including ÖKOMix and ProSense technology. The judges also admired the product for its “great innovation” and drew attention to the fact that it “runs quietly and efficiently, and is rated A+++ for energy [A under the new energy label classification].”

Luke Harding, General Manager at Electrolux UK & Ireland, said: “At AEG, we see our washing machines as the guardian of clothes – ensuring they last longer and keep their colour wash after wash – so we are all thrilled to be recognised at the T3 Awards for the fourth year running! Our consumers are always at the centre of our products, and our laundry innovations allow consumers to care for their clothes in a sustainable way, making them last longer, ultimately reducing environmental impact.”

In a standard washing machine, less than a third of fibres are reached by the commonly used fabric softeners, but, says AEG, with ÖKOMix in the 9000 series, “every trace of detergent and softener is mixed with water, dissolving and activating it completely before it even enters the drum. This makes it the first ever washing machine technology to distribute detergents and softeners evenly, washing clothes more efficiently than ever.”
