Back to the 70s with TEAC
TEAC is taking us back to the 70s with the retro-styled LP-P1000 audio system, combining up-to-date technology and great sound quality with a £449.99 price ticket.
The unit houses a traditional turntable, CD player, AM/FM tuner and a wireless Bluetooth connection for smartphones and tablets. It is supplied with matching 2-way hi-fi speakers and available in cherry or black wood-grain finishes.
The turntable boasts a handy auto-return tone arm and plays vintage 78rpm albums as well as 33rpm albums and 45rpm singles. It has a rubber mat and a quality sapphire-tipped ceramic cartridge, with an optional SP-type diamond stylus for those who mostly play singles.
The built-in Bluetooth connectivity offers pairing with smartphones or tablets, so users can listen to their own library of songs, subscription music service or favourite internet radio stations, delivered via the 2 x 25 watts amplifier.
The LP-P1000 also has a built-in AM/FM tuner with 40 presets as well as a traditional CD player that is compatible with self-made CD-R/RW discs. MP3/WMA-encoded tracks will play fine too. Both sources can be activated via the built-in digital clock’s on/off timer.
It also features 2 x auxiliary stereo inputs, 1 stereo output (for turntable) and a headphone socket.
