BenQ grows share of UK projector market to 12.3%

BenQ has announced that its projector market share in the UK grew to 12.3% in the second quarter of 2014, making it the nation’s third largest projector brand.

The Taiwanese company said the results, which were recorded by research analysts Futuresource Consulting, were bolstered by two AV award finalist nominations for its MW853UST and RP700+ models, and units such as the BenQ W1070 (pictured), which has received numerous awards in the UK and has proved a hit with Home Cinema fans across the region.

Royce Lye, UK Sales & Marketing Director, commented: “We’ve had a strong three months working closely with our channel partners to drive sales through to customers. The response to our range has been positive and this is backed by the independent reviews and awards we’ve received. Together with channel partners Midwich, Maverick, Steljes and Ingram Micro, our projector sales have gone from strength to strength in the UK.”

BenQ’s overall share of the European projector market grew to 20.5% in the second quarter, placing it in the number two position in the region with strong growth in Germany, The Netherlands, France, Russia, the Nordics and the UK.
