Big Red Sales to sell beyerdynamic brand to independents
National sales agency Big Red Sales has announced it will be working with Polar Audio, the UK exclusive distributor of beyerdynamic headphones, to handle sales of the German brand’s headphones in the independent retail sector, offering products to its 1,500+ retailer base.
In addition to taking orders, Big Red will also liaise with retailers on stocking plans, merchandising/feature displays and carrying out product training.
Polar Audio was originally established in the 1960s as Beyerdynamic GB Limited, an independent company, not a subsidiary of Beyerdynamic Germany, but fashioned its operation as a distributor very much in the image of the audio business founded in 1924 by Eugen Beyer. Beyerdynamic GB became Polar Audio in 2008.
John Midgley, MD of Polar Audio, commented on the new arrangement with Big Red Sales: “When first discussing a potential business opportunity with John Reddington [founder of the national sales agency] I expected a professional approach, but it wasn’t until I met his team that I appreciated just how professional Big Red Sales would prove to be. I look forward to a long and successful relationship with Big Red Sales and their excellent network of independent retailers.”
“We are thrilled to be handling such a prestigious headphone brand in the marketplace and with a company that is so enthusiastic about growing the independent sector,” said John Reddington.
“The products are exceptional, as evidenced by the many 5-star reviews they receive. We are sure they will be very well received by our independent retailer customer base, who certainly appreciate a good thing when they see it.”
