Brand power: Morphy Richards’ new irons show how it’s done

Morphy Richards’ new Turbosteam collection comprises three of the brand’s most powerful steam irons to date, offering up to 55g of steam output and extra boost shot of 200g.

The Turbosteam, Turbosteam Pro and Turbosteam Pro with IntelliTemp feature between 2800W and 3100W of power and heat up in just 40 seconds. All have a Pristine Finish Ceramic Soleplate which helps them glide effortlessly over fabrics.

The Turbosteam Pro has digital controls for changing between settings at the touch of a button, while the Turbosteam Pro model with IntelliTemp automatically selects the optimum temperature for fabrics so there is no need to switch between settings. 

All come with an auto shut-off safety feature as standard and have been tested in the UK for more than 1,000 hours.

The brand is so confident about the quality of the new appliances that they hold a 4-year guarantee.

Additional features include a soft-touch handle, EasyStore cable clip, easy-view water window and an extra-long 3m cable.

Charlie Stafford, Consumer Marketing Manager at Morphy Richards, said: “2020 and the start of 2021 have been a challenging time for the garment care market. Consumers have spent much less time socialising or in the workplace, reducing their usage of garment care products. In the year to April 2021 the UK steam irons market shrunk £9m to £64.5 (vs. the previous 12 months).

“However, Morphy Richards bucked the trend and was the only major garment care brand to show growth during this period. As 2021 progresses, with social and work lives returning to some level of normality, we can already see improvements in the market and we are in prime position to build on the success of the past 12 months.

“The new Turbosteam range is the perfect combination of performance and quality and is our most powerful range of irons we have brought to market. We wanted to deliver appliances that not only make life and ironing easier for consumers, but also to help them protect their clothes and have the reassurance of a product that is reliable.”
