Caple welcomes Ian Garven as new BDM for Scotland

Appliance specialist Caple has appointed Ian Garven as its new business development manager (BDM) for Scotland. He has taken on this role following BDM Allen Dove’s retirement, and he says: “My predecessor built a very strong foundation for me to work from. Our customers know we make high quality products, which are great value for money, and I’m already enjoying assisting in the development and awareness of the Caple brand across the region.”
Garven is responsible for promoting and selling Caple’s comprehensive portfolio of appliances, sinks and taps, kitchen and bedroom furniture to retailers, builders’ merchants and electrical wholesalers in Scotland. He previously worked at Omega plc, where he has spent the past two years as kitchen furniture sales manager for Scotland with previous sales experience in the bathrooms industry.
He says: “Local decision making, which will have a fundamental impact on my area, is one of the main aspects of this new role I am looking forward to. I really want to make a difference as I explore different avenues to develop my area and customer base. With a refreshing approach, not only from our managing director, Danny Lay, and our regional manager, Amanda Atkins, but our head office too, I feel empowered to get on with the job in hand.”
Caple managing director Danny Lay adds: “Ian is a very welcome addition to our team. With his kitchens and bathrooms industry experience, I believe this will stand him in good stead for this role.”
