Caple’s new C990i induction hob promises “intelligent cooking”
Appliance specialist Caple’s new induction hob, the C990i, features a TFT 7-inch touch screen and Caple Smart pan detection, which allows use of the entire surface of the hob as it automatically detects up to six pans at once and adapts to the pan size.
The 21 power levels include a
Keep Warm setting at 70°C, and Boil control which will detect rising bubbles
and automatically adjust the temperature to 94°C, stopping overflowing and
creating stubborn marks on the hob.
The black glass C990i is frameless with a bevelled edge, and other settings
include Bake at 42°C, Booster and Booster+ functions on every zone and
programmable power levels, all designed “for an easier cooking experience.” The
hob has six programmable timers, enabling the setting of cooking duration and
finishing times on each individual zone up to 99 minutes. There is also an
auto-bridge function which links zones when using larger pans.
Additional features
include pause function, a child safety lock, residual heat indicators,
automatic safety shut off, anti-overheat, anti-overflow, demo mode for showroom
use and individual zone timer.
The hob measures 920mmW by 520mm by 55mmD and costs from around £3,690
including VAT.
