Caple’s new wall chimney hoods: power plus style

Appliance specialist Caple has added two wall chimney hoods to its portfolio: the Tauri (TAU760) and the Nova (NOV800), each offering a “statement appliance” feature for the kitchen.

The Tauri (TAU760) (pictured) features a clear glass front showcasing a powerful extractor (777m³/h maximum extraction level) finished in black glass with polished stainless steel grease filters. A 10.5W white LED strip light completes a contemporary look. The clear glass can be tilted forward or kept closed, and touch controls offer the choice of four speed levels including a boost function. The hood is A+-energy efficiency rated, with a maximum sound level of 64dB at the highest speed. An auto timer function can be activated to automatically switch off the extractor ten minutes after cooking has ended to help ensure cooking odours are removed. The Tauri hood measures 800mmW by 960-1300mmH by 280mmD and costs from around £1,124 including VAT.

The Nova (NOV800) has a black glass finish with tilt/closed position options, a 10.5W white LED strip light and touch controls. With an A-rating for energy efficiency, this model has four speeds including a boost function to help remove unwanted cooking odours quickly. The handy auto timer will automatically switch off the hood ten minutes after cooking has finished. With a maximum sound level of 60dB, this model features 615m3/h maximum extraction. The Nova hood measures 800mmW by 920-1270mmH by 240mmD and costs from around £1,198.

Product manager Luke Shipway says: “We have introduced two wall chimney hood styles to our extensive collection so there’s something for everyone. These state-of-the-art models have various key features – they perform incredibly well, they are easy to use with stylish touch controls and they look smart, too.
