CES 2017 – Las Vegas: Audio-Technica announces “firsts” in CES lineup
Audio-Technica has announced its CES 2017 lineup, which includes the company’s new flagship high performance over-the-ear wireless headphones, the Bluetooth aptX HD-enabled ATH-DSR9BT, the first headphones to employ Audio-Technica’s proprietary Pure Digital Drive Technology. This keeps the original audio signal completely digital from source to driver, maintaining outstanding sound performance. This product has won a CES Innovation 2017 Award from the Consumer Technology Association.
Also new at CES is the AT-LP3 turntable, based on the award-winning AT-LP5 and designed to be an affordable (sub-£200) upgrade from an entry-level turntable. It is fully automatic, belt-driven and boasts a highly interior-friendly styling as well as enhanced audio performance and ease of use.
The new in-ear LS series headphones, developed through Audio-Technica’s long experience in professional on-stage and studio monitoring sound, includes the ATH-LS70iS and ATH-LS50iS models, and claims to reproduce the quality and dynamics of a live concert on the move.
In the affordable range of on-ear headphones the new wired ATH-AR3iS (sub-£100) and Bluetooth-enabled ATH-AR3BT duo offers “ultra portable and affordable” listening.
The company has also announced a new VM cartridge series comprising nine models “building on the company’s heritage and expertise.” The nine model series combines three different cartridge bodies and seven different stylus shapes, offering consumers “a clear upgrade path to expand their cartridge collection and perfect their analogue experience.”
The Audio-Technica range is featured at Booth 20918 on South Hall Ground Level at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and at The Venetian, Suite 29-236.
