Cumbrian kitchen installer earns “victory for the small guy”

Billy Ashcroft of Workington-based Ashcroft Kitchen Installations Ltd, has been awarded ‘Best Installer 2019’ by The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI), which represents over 6,400 installation businesses across the UK, as well as a number of KBB retailers, manufacturers and distributors of KBB products.

CEO of the organisation Damian Walters said it has been a tough year for installations, with high profile retail collapses and a worsening skills gap, and described Ashcroft’s win as “a victory for the small guy”.

“Billy isn’t a big corporate business but instead represents the SME, unarguably part of Great Britain’s economic backbone. A hardworking micro business contributing to the overall success of our industry, representing us all on the front line in our customers’ homes.

“So from me and my team, I’d like to thank Billy and other Billys for everything they do for us.”
