Currys beefs up omnichannel team
Gillian Geraghty has joined Currys’ Group Leadership Team as Omnichannel and eCommerce Director.
She joins the electricals business from George at ASDA, where she worked for more than 20 years, the past three as ASDA’s eCommerce Director.
Her new role will focus on connecting the online and physical in-store experience for Currys customers and leading its Omnichannel Connected Customer Transformation programme.
The appointment follows that of Michelle Gorringe-Smith in September this year to the role of Director of Stores – a position focusing on “driving the business’s omnichannel strategy with a customer-centric approach to optimise store performance”.
Both report to Executive Committee member Mark Allsop, Chief Operating Officer.
“Our team is going from strength to strength and attracting someone of Gillian’s talent and experience is a real coup for Currys,” said Allsop.
“It’s a sign that talented people outside Currys are seeing our Omnichannel ambition and want to help us achieve our vision faster.”
