De’Longhi’s multi-tasking Multifry cooker
De’Longhi’s Multifry low-oil appliance will cook a range of dishes, from risottos and French fries to pies and pizzas. The unit boasts a “unique and innovative” patent-pending Surround Heat System in which the top and bottom heating elements can be operated separately or simultaneously, depending on the recipe requirements.
Multifry can cook up to 1.7kg of potatoes (enough for eight people) in just 14ml of oil (equivalent to only 2.3% fat), while frozen shop-bought chips require no oil at all, both resulting in crispy, tasty and “guilt-free” chips.
The appliance has a removable paddle fitted into the bowl which constantly stirs the ingredients at the right speed, and an adjustable thermostat and timer which allows the user to have total control over the cooking process.
It is available in four different models, ranging from £159.99 to £249.99.
Mark Swift, Director of UK and Ireland Marketing at De’Longhi, said the appliance is designed to provide consumers with a healthier way of cooking, “and with minimal washing-up needed, it’s sure to become the next must-have kitchen appliance for families,” he added.
De’Longhi has compiled a recipe book specifically for the Multifry, offering 250 ideas from around the world which are available on a dedicated app for iPhone, iPad and Android from July 2014.
Mark Sargeant, former head chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Michelin starred restaurant at Claridge’s, has teamed up with De’Longhi to create some of his own recipes using the Multifry.
