Electrolux has announced the appointment of Chris Ibbitson as Channel Manager for its Housebuilder’s & Contracts team, responsible for developing the business’s contract channel strategy across housebuilder, projects and distribution and supporting growth of the Zanussi, Electrolux and AEG brands.

He joins Electrolux with experience of UK housebuilding and kitchen industry gained from working at Travis Perkins for 9 years, most recently as Head of National Sales.

Gordon Dawson, UK Head of Head of Kitchen Retail & Contracts for Electrolux, said: “We’re delighted to have Chris on board, he’ll be a great asset to the business as we build on the great momentum we have gained during the first half of 2019. As part of our UK strategy we’re continuing to focus heavily on the housebuilder market, hence why Chris will be coming in to lead the team.”

Electrolux has recently made a significant investment in the UK aftersales and technical support team, including a multi-million pound investment in IT infrastructure and the recruitment of over 60 new staff for the UK contact centre from 1st July 2019.

“We recognise that for housebuilders great consumer service is key, and this investment demonstrates our long-term commitment to the industry,” Dawson commented.
