Flexible cooking with new Hotpoint induction hobs

Hotpoint’s new range of induction hobs include this black glass 60cm model (TS 5760F NE) with four cooking zones and 18 power levels, and the benefit of a Flexi Space function which enables the two cooking zones on the left-hand side of the unit to be combined into one to accommodate large pots.

Active Heat divides the flexible zone into a ‘low, medium, high’ pre-set power level – the front may be set at a low heat setting, the middle will be at medium and the rear will be at high, enabling the user to move the pot/pan over the surface to cook at different temperatures, without adjusting the controls.

The appliance also has automatic functions, such as melting, keep warm and slow cooking, touch control, a control-lock for safety and automatic switch-off to prevent large spillages. Residual heat indicators indicate if the surface is still hot.
