Former Apple Exec joins B&O

Former Apple Senior Executive Stephen Zadesky has joined Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen as External Advisor with effect from 1 November 2021 “to support the development of the company’s future product portfolio.”

He held several leadership positions at Apple for more than 20 years, including VP of Engineering, and was responsible for Apple’s Special Project Team. He has extensive experience in leading and scaling product creation projects, and was part of building and leading the development teams for Apple’s first iPod and iPhone.

In his new role with B&O he will “provide strategic counsel to Bang & Olufsen’s creation teams and leaders based on his many years of experience within technology, engineering, and consumer electronics.”

Bang & Olufsen CEO Kristian Teär said: “With his deep product development knowledge and extensive experience with strategic leadership, he will no doubt contribute greatly to our turnaround and support our amazing teams in building the next suite of magical products and customer experiences.”

Zadesky said: “I am excited to be part of a brand as iconic as Bang & Olufsen. They have played an outsized role in consumer products over the past century and have had a big influence on me personally. I look forward to working with Kristian’s exceptional team to help create the next generation of products for the company.”
