Freesat launches Wuaki.tv application
Freesat has announced the introduction of video-on-demand service Wuaki.tv to its subscription-free service, offering instant access to a wide range of the latest movies and TV shows.
The launch expands Freesat’s ten existing on-demand services, which include BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and Netflix.
Wuaki.tv has films such as Spectre, the 24th James Bond adventure, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Game of Thrones amongst its offering and features the option of pre-ordering forthcoming releases. Movies can be rented from 99p without the need to take out a monthly subscription.
Commenting on the launch, Alistair Thom, managing director at Freesat, said: “We’re delighted to launch Wuaki.tv on Freesat and further enhance our popular on-demand offering. With over 200 subscription-free channels now available, Freesat viewers are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to great entertainment. The new service will give viewers access to a fantastic line-up of blockbuster films and TV shows, and best of all, you only pay for what you want to watch.”
Wuaki.tv will be available on Humax Freesat set-top boxes.
