Gaggenau introduces new generation of combi-steam ovens

“Luxury” brand Gaggenau has introduce seven next-generation combi-steam ovens into its 400 and 200 series of domestic ovens.

Oven cavities have been increased to 50 litres, filling the full width of the appliance to allow consumers a wide choice of dishes that can be accommodated.

The addition of a multicore temperature probe to both the 400 and 200 series offers accurate temperature reading to within one degree, and both series are available with a choice of fixed water connection or refillable water tank. The plumbed water line ensures fresh water is constantly available – a vital feature when cooking for long periods of time using the ovens’ sous-vide functionality – and once installed it does not require any refilling or emptying.

For customers that prefer a refillable water reservoir, the tank is easy to access and is equipped with intelligent sensors that alert the user if the fresh water is running low or the wastewater tank needs to be emptied.

Gaggenau’s automatic cleaning system is now available on all 400 series models and on fixed water connection models in the 200 series. The ovens’ water supply descales and removes any heavy soiling from the cavity interior in under four hours.

The 200 series now benefits from the 400 series’ full surface grill hidden behind ceramic glass, and the addition of glare-free lighting through invisible LEDs directs light towards the back, showcasing the food inside.

All the new combi-steam ovens are equipped with Home Connect so the cook can monitor and control the appliance via the Home Connect app from mobile or tablet. Gaggenau brought the first domestic combi-steam oven to market in 1999.
