Habitech to Distribute AMX
Agreement commences September 2013
Distributor of home entertainment and automation products Habitech has signed a distribution agreement with AMX to distribute its range of Control Systems and Digital Media Signal Management Systems from 1st September this year.
In system control, Habitech will primarily focus on AMX’s range of NetLinx control processors, Modero touch screen control panels and related ICS LAN control interfaces. The portfolio provides entirely scaleable solutions for integrated single room control, such as home cinema rooms, to more elaborate integrated multi-zone audio and video control requirements throughout a property and more complex full system integration with KNX-based subsystems performing building and energy management, lighting control and suchlike.
In signal management, Habitech will concentrate on AMX’s Enova® DGX Link platform, which provides the optimal infrastructure/backbone to support reliable end-to-end signal transmission and switching over HDMI, UTP (twisted pair cable), fibre or any combination within the same system.
Beyond hardware, Habitech has made a significant investment in high level personnel and resources to offer integrators a range of value-added support services.
AMX Sales Director Jonathan Mangnall commented: “We are delighted to announce Habitech as our specialist distributor for the residential market. With Habitech’s unrivalled knowledge of the custom install sector, and their focus on service and support, we see them as a key partner in the future growth of our residential business. They have a strong technical team – something that’s extremely important for the CI channel – and very strong and personable management and sales teams. The AMX control and video systems portfolio will complement their current product line-up well. We look forward to developing this further with them.”
