Haier one of the ‘fastest growing Chinese Companies in the UK’

Haier has been identified as one of the top 30 fastest growing Chinese businesses in the UK in the Grant Thornton 2020 Tou Ying Tracker, which is developed in collaboration with CCCUK (China Chamber of Commerce in the UK) and China Daily.

In compiling the Tracker, which is now in its eighth year, Grant Thornton identified all Chinese-owned companies that have filed an audited revenue figure of at least a thousand pounds at Companies House in at least one of the last two financial years to 30 September 2020, and which are at least 50% owned by a Chinese corporate, investor or national.

This year, 838 companies were identified compared with 795 in 2019.

The biggest Chinese-owned companies employ more than 75,000 people in the UK and contributed total revenues of £92 billion to the country’s economy last year.

Jim McEwan, Chief Commercial Officer at Haier UK, commented: “These are very exciting times for Haier UK with many new products coming to the market in 2021 and beyond. And as recently honoured as the No.1 Global Major Appliance Brand in the world for the 12th consecutive year [Source Euromonitor 2021] in a row, our aim is to continue to develop premium and cutting-edge connected technology that delivers tailormade product solutions for the home, products that will stand out in the market for years to come.”
