Hisense and Villa strike Technology Partner deal

Consumer electronics brand Hisense has announced a deal with Aston Villa to become the Official Technology Partner of the club. The deal will see Hisense support the Villans ahead of their 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Aston Villa has a long and proud history in English football, and the club will be working alongside Hisense UK, the UK subsidiary of the global electronics supplier, who will spearhead the activity, including fan engagement, sponsorship maximisation and brand presence at Villa home games throughout the season.

Howard Grindrod, Hisense UK’s deputy managing director, said: “Aston Villa are a massive club with an iconic stadium and an incredible fanbase, so we’re delighted to announce this partnership with one of the biggest clubs in England. As excitement continues to build ahead of the new season, we’re looking forward to kicking off our sponsorship.”

Luke Organ, the club’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “This is a very important strategic partnership for Aston Villa. We are proud to have partnered with such a strong consumer brand who share a mutual love for football.

Aston Villa is owned by Recon Group, and will be working alongside fellow Chinese business Hisense as they continue to support the club’s development and back the team’s campaign for a successful Sky Bet Championship season.

Hisense is also an Official Sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, and Hisense, whose UK headquarters are based in Leeds, will become the Official Television of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
