Hisense UK expands sales and marketing teams

Hisense UK Ltd has appointed former JD Sports Fashion Group Head of Acquisition Ben Fox to the newly created UK role of Head of Marketing and expanded its sales team with a further two key appointments.

Andrew Wood joins as General Sales Manager for the UK from Sharp Electronics where he spent 25 years in various National Account Manager and Controller roles, and former LG Electronics manager Alison Ladkin has come onboard as National Account Manager for major clients AO and CIH. Ladkin previously held National Account Manager roles in a number of consumer electronics sectors at LG Electronics including Home Entertainment, Audio and Media.

Both will be responsible for supporting customers across Hisense UK’s consumer electronics and appliance sectors.

Howard Grindrod, Deputy Managing Director at Hisense UK, said: “As highly connected account managers Andrew and Alison will build and develop new and existing business relationships to increase support for our customers and we’re excited to have them on board.

“The introduction of our new 4K Ultra HD TV ranges will see our business more than double this year and by making these two appointments the company is showing a real commitment in achieving steady growth in UK markets.”

In his newly created role as Head of Marketing, Ben Fox, who was responsible for SEO management at online retailer ao.com for more than three years prior to working at JD Sports, will be responsible for building the Hisense brand in the UK, increasing awareness of the firm as a trusted and technologically progressive electronics company amongst consumers and the retail channel.

Commenting on his new position, Fox said: “Hisense UK has the potential to go beyond its challenger brand status and it is an exciting time to be joining the company. My task will be to raise the profile of the Hisense UK brand, building on the company’s core values of cutting-edge technology, quality and responsibility.”

Grindrod added: “The company has grown substantially since entering the UK market in 2012. This success has been built on a sound product portfolio but now is the time to advance the company brand in the UK.

“Ben’s appointment reflects this new strategy and his digital expertise, team management skills and previous experience in the white goods sector with ao.com will undoubtedly help to drive the company forward and raise brand presence.”
