Hoover appoints Simon Rimmer as brand ambassador

Hoover and TV chef & restaurateur Simon Rimmer will collaborate to promote Hoover’s cooking credentials and showcase the brand’s built-in portfolio of ovens, hobs, hoods and sous vide models.

Rimmer will front a diverse range of marketing activity, including PR, advertising, competitions and events. A suite of social media assets, including imagery and video content, will also be created for the campaign, which will be supported by activity across Hoover’s social and digital media and in-store activities.

Simon Rimmer said: “The kitchen is the hub of the home and the epicentre of family life, so it’s important for people to both enjoy cooking and have the right kit to make great food.

“Hoover is an extremely well known brand with a very impressive cooking portfolio, so I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and using the appliances.

“There are some exciting products in the pipeline and I’m excited to help Hoover change perceptions of the brand by showing people just how passionate Hoover is about cooking.”

Antony Peart, brand and communications director at Hoover, added: “Simon is a natural fit for Hoover; a household name synonymous with the kitchen.

“We’re a brand that’s very serious about cooking and Simon will help us to bring that to life and demonstrate to people the scope and scale of our cooking portfolio.

“From ovens that will help even the most nervous of cooks with built-in recipes and step-by-step guides to professional products for budding chefs, we’re confident that consumers of all competencies will have an appetite for a Hoover cooking model.”
