Hotpoint: Appliance energy-savings sussed

Hotpoint has installed Youreko’s energy savings tool on its website to help consumers understand the financial benefit of purchasing energy-efficient appliances.

Youreko rates products according to their running costs and shows the financial savings related to appliances’ energy consumption in terms of lifetime, while making it easy for consumers to compare the energy savings of different products.

Consumers can also personalise their usage and electricity costs to have the energy savings tailored to personal circumstances. Recommendations are made in the tool when similar products are found that are less expensive to run.

Hotpoint parent company Whirlpool installed the Youreko tool on its eponymous brand website in 2018 and, as Kimberley Garner, Hotpoint Brand Manager, comments: “Good energy ratings are increasingly becoming a top priority when purchasing a new appliance.”

Youreko is an “excellent tool that helps consumers to make an informed decision”, she added.
