Hotpoint enters SDA market with new HD Line

Hotpoint is entering the Small Appliances market with a collection of HD Line products which includes high tech versions of two products that have a special place in the brand’s history: Hotpoint’s very first product, launched in 1911, was an iron with a ‘hot point’ and the Hotpoint Junior Vacuum cleaner first came to market in 1928.

Marco Milani, Indesit Company CEO, announced in May this year at the time of reporting the group’s fiscal Q1 results that the business would enter the small domestic appliances market. The new HD Line sees the Hotpoint brand return to its roots, building on more than 100 years of experience that has made it the most trusted and bestselling appliance brand in the UK.

The new line of high performance appliances is promised to deliver High Definition (HD) results in food preparation, steam ironing and vacuum cleaning. Products are designed to complement each other to provide a fully co-ordinated range.

The collection includes a Steam Blender (TB060C) with a 1300W steam function for cooking a variety of foods; a bladeless Slow Juicer (SJ4010) that creates 30% more juice than a traditional juicer; a multifunctional Food Processor (FP1009) with 12 accessories for blending, chopping, shredding, slicing and kneading; a Kitchen machine (AISI304) incorporating a direct drive motor system, which can be upgraded with separate accessories including a cookie maker and pasta set; a 700W Hand Blender (FP1009); a Digital Kettle (WK24E) that boils water quickly to exactly the right temperature, from 50ºC right up to 100ºC; a range of three stainless steel Toasters; a collection of Steam Irons that includes a Steam Generator, and a range of HD Line Vacuum Cleaners.

Irene Ippolito, Category Marketing Manager, for the HD Line, said the range “perfectly demonstrates” the company’s knowledge of the kitchen environment and the needs of customers around the home. “Like all Hotpoint appliances, the new line combines technology, design and practicality to take all the hard work out of everyday chores and provide high definition results in every corner of the kitchen.”
