Hughes Electrical supports local hospital
Hughes Electrical in Great Yarmouth has donated five smoothie makers to the James Paget University Hospital which will be used as part of a health, wellbeing and fitness event later in September.
The Hospital has 18 ‘Wellbeing Champions’ – existing staff who volunteer some of their time to support colleagues, with the aim of improving physical and mental health which in turn can enhance patient care.
Mitchell Reed, one of the Wellbeing Champions, said: “We’re holding the event close to national fitness day to highlight some of the help and activities available for our staff and we approached Hughes to see if they could support us. They generously donated the smoothie makers which will be put to good use to make some healthy drinks for our staff to try on the day.”
“We have worked with the James Paget before so were more than happy to get involved with its latest initiative designed to promote health and wellbeing among staff members,” commented Hughes Electrical’s Declan Woods.
“As a company that has been operating in the area for decades, we see ourselves as being at the heart of the community so are delighted to help with local projects whenever we can.”
