Hughes provides TV for local vaccination centre

Hughes Electrical has donated a 40-inch Altimo TV to the NHS Vaccination Centre in Market Gates, Great Yarmouth after being approached by the NHS for help.

The unit is for screening health promotion messages during the 15-minute post-vaccination observation period and, according to Lead Matron Michael Cox, “It gives us the ability to promote a healthy lifestyle and offer advice about the benefits of exercise through a series of professionally produced short videos.

“We are not sure how long the Vaccination Centre will be operational in Great Yarmouth, but if it does close there will be plenty of other uses for the TV within the NHS and we are extremely grateful to Hughes.”

“As a business we have been operating in Great Yarmouth for decades and see ourselves as being at the heart of the local community and always looking for ways we can support it,” said Justin Kuttschreuter, manager of the Hughes branch on Mill Road (pictured left).

“We know what a superb job Michael Cox and all his colleagues in the NHS are doing on rolling out the mass vaccination programme to people in and around Great Yarmouth. We were delighted to be able to support them by donating a TV.

“It’s good to know it is playing a role in helping to spread positive health messages and that it will be used in the NHS for years to come.”
