IHA appoints vice president, marketing
The International Housewares Association (IHA) has announced the appointment of Leana Salamah as vice president, marketing, a role formerly held by Derek Miller, who became IHA president on 1st October this year.
She joins IHA from mdg (Marketing Design Group), a leading association, non- and for-profit event marketing agency, where she served as vice president & account strategist.
In her new role she will be responsible for the overall management of IHA and International Home + Housewares Show marketing, including IHA brand and member services, Show attendance campaigns, digital marketing and public relations & communications.
In other news the IHA announced that four new directors have been elected to its board: Scott Henrikson, president, Dexas International; Darrin Johnston, managing director, Meyer Corporation; Lisa W. Knierim, president & CEO – Americas, Villeroy & Boch; Ingerid Mohn, president, Sagaform Inc.
Also elected were new board officers: Chairman – John (JC) Collins, president & chief marketing officer, Neatfreak Group; Vice Chairman/Chairman Elect – Howard Steidle Jr., CEO, John Ritzenthaler Co; Treasurer – William Endres, president, Select Brands.
