Indesit brings flexible cooling to new chest freezers

Indesit has introduced a new range of chest freezers (available in 100-litre and 250-litre capacities) that can be switched between cooling and freezing modes in accordance with household requirements.

A simple Cool Switch enables the conversion from a freezer temperature of around -18°C to a fridge temperature of around +4°C, and an easy-to-use Flexi Rack lets users tailor the space to their individual needs. The dedicated rack provides convenient storage for tall items or will ensure that smaller ones are immediately visible and easily accessible.

The counterbalanced lid and hinge system, available on the 250-litre model OS 1A 250 H UK, guarantees that the lid remains in position and stable at any angle when open. This model also has a flat back, allowing it to be positioned flush to the wall to help maximise space – the external condenser has been moved from the back of the appliance to the interior front wall, so is easier to clean.

Nick Mawby, Category Lead for Indesit cooling appliances, said: “Chest freezers continue to be popular with consumers who like to bulk buy or freeze large amounts of pre-prepared meals for a constant all-year-round supply. The new Indesit range of chest freezers, designed with busy families in mind, combine generous capacity with practical innovation, and thanks to the Cool Switch function, the space can be utilised for frozen or fresh food depending on the consumer’s needs at that exact period of time.”
