InSinkErator® takes on Plastic Free July Challenge

InSinkErator is supporting Plastic Free July with a number of different activities including hosting giveaways, sharing hints and tips on how to make positive lifestyle changes and staff members taking on the Plastic Free July challenge.

Plastic Free July is a global initiative that aims to reduce the environmental impact that single-use plastic waste has on land and in the oceans. In 2020, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, over 300 million people worldwide participated in Plastic Free July and helped to prevent more than 900 million kilograms of plastic, such as single-use plastic bottles, being consumed.

InSinkErator® will be refusing any form of single-use plastic, in addition to sharing a variety of social media posts to increase the awareness of the initiative. Giveaways for consumers to win a 4N1 Touch tap, reusable insulated drinks bottles and ethically-produced, reusable cotton shopping bags are also being organised.

The company’s products, such as the SN1 Touch tap, are helping consumers reduce plastic waste by providing instant filtered cold water on tap, obviating the need for purchasing water in single-use plastic bottles.
