Kitchen Appliances Direct “forced” into administration

Leeds-based Clark Business Recovery has been appointed to assist online retailer Kitchen Appliances Direct in the process of entering into administration.

A spokesperson for Clark Business Recovery today told GC that “a notice of intention to appoint an administrator has been filed at Court by the director, and it is anticipated that the company will enter into administration either later today or at the latest on Monday 28 October 2013.”

Creditors of the company, or any party interested in the assets of the company, should contact Clark Business Recovery on 0113 243 8617.

Kitchen Appliances Direct was established in 1999 with a showroom and warehouse in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Within two years the business outgrew the premises and moved to a new building five times the size in Leeds, with the Bradford premises continuing to be used for storage and distribution. In December 2006, KAD moved to a new distribution centre at Elland Road Industrial Estate, Leeds.

The business, which is part of KAD Group Limited, classed itself as “one of the leading specialists in Kitchen Appliances, Sinks, Taps and Accessories.”

A recorded message on the company’s telephone service states that the business has been “forced into administration” and all goods that were available have been dispatched.
