Klipsch puts the Groove in Heritage
Klipsch (UK) has announced the release of the Heritage Groove, a portable Bluetooth-enabled speaker created, says Klipsch, “to deliver beautiful build and powerful sound.” It is part of the Klipsch “Heritage Inspired” line, which combines the latest technologies with the classic design legacy of Paul W. Klipsch.
Built using real wood veneer and tactile spun switches and knobs, the unit offers a choice of matte black or walnut cabinet, and weighs an eminently portable 1Kg.
The integrated rechargeable Lithium battery enables up to eight hours of mains-free use and the bundle includes mains and micro USB. It also has a built-in microphone for hands-free calls.
Bluetooth technology enables streaming from a variety of similarly-equipped devices, while the 3.5mm input allows a wired connection between the speaker and a chosen source.
The sound quality for such a compact unit is claimed to be outstanding, with a brace of side-firing passive bass radiators to complement the powerful 8cm aluminium, full-range high excursion driver. Advanced DSP equalization helps the Klipsch provide dynamic, lifelike sound at even lower volumes, while the Klipsch Connect App (available later this autumn) enables checking of the battery level, installation of firmware upgrades, and tweaking of EQ settings.
The Klipsch Heritage Groove goes on sale in the UK during mid/late October, priced at £175.00. It is distributed exclusively in the UK by Henley Audio.
