LG steams into dishwashing with garment care technology

LG has focused on its experience in developing steam technology for its washing machine ranges, but is also keen to emphasise the benefits of steam “to do to dishes what it has done to clothes.”

The LG SteamClean™ dishwasher is equipped with TrueSteam™ technology, which emits high temperature steam for effective cleaning of kitchenwares from delicate glass to pots and pans, and features a Pre-Steam option to remove caked-on layers of food residue and eliminate pre-scrubbing by hand. By spraying the contents with steam at the end of a cycle, the LG SteamClean dishwasher also reduces water spots. High temperature steam also has proven hygiene benefits.

The machine is also equipped with QuadWash™, using four multi-motion spray arms instead of the conventional two, sweeping and rotating to clean all shapes from virtually every angle.

LG’s Inverter Direct Drive Motor, proven for energy efficiency and noise reduction, also allows for different spray intensity settings, so fragile dishware in the upper rack and pots and pans on the lower level can be cleaned effectively and safely at the same time.

The EasyRack+ system allows users to adjust the height of the rack to three different levels to accommodate all dishes, cups and flatware, and nine pre-set wash cycles are available, plus more to download using the LG SmartThinQ app.

Song Dae-hyun, president of LG Electronics and Home Appliance & Air Solution Company, said: “Steam technology allows us to deliver a balance of superior performance with gentle care. It’s this kind of innovation with a real purpose that our customers expect from LG.”
