Marantz adds to MusicLink Series with new HD-CD1 CD Player

The latest addition to the new Marantz MusicLink series is the HD-CD1, a high-quality CD player matching the same compact form as the brand’s HD-AMP1 amplifier. Central to the new unit is the use of the Marantz-designed HDAM Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules which are found in the brand’s products all the way up to the Reference series players and amplifiers. In the HD-CD1, the latest-generation HDAM-SA2 version of this technology is used to provide a wide dynamic range and wide frequency response with the lowest distortion. HDAM technology is also used in the headphone section, which has its own dedicated amplification.

Key features include:

  • Award-winning Marantz CD drive technology – high-quality playback from CD, CD R/RW
  • Support for MP3, AAC, WMA file playback
  • Intensively sound tuned with carefully selected components
  • High quality 192kHz/24bit D/A conversion (CS4398) and accurate system clock
  • Marantz proprietary HDAM-SA2 circuits – wider dynamic range with lower distortion for output stage
  • Full discrete headphone amplifier with HDAM-SA2 and gain control
  • Double layered bottom plate and rigid feet
  • Gold Plated L/R/Coax Outputs
  • System remote to control CD-Player and Amplifier
