Miele appoints new Development Chef

German appliance manufacturer Miele has appointed award-winning Andrew Scott as development chef, a new role in which he will be responsible for the company’s food, cooking and experience strategy.

A former Ramsay Scholarship finalist and representative for the central region on BBC2’s Great British Menu, Scott will be responsible for the creation and development of recipes which demonstrate the key points of difference of Miele appliances and, according to the brand, “setting new industry standards in customer education and experience.”

“Miele products deliver exceptional cooking results and I am looking forward to pushing the boundaries and discovering just what’s possible in developing innovative new recipes and experiences,” Scott commented.

“My aim is to surprise, inspire and guide Miele customers in helping them choose the products that are right for them and enable them to prepare restaurant-quality results at home.”

Commenting on Scott’s appointment, Neil Pooley, category manager for cooking at Miele GB, said: “He completely gets our ethos, customer profile and what we are trying to achieve in affirming Miele’s position as the first choice for the discerning cook.”
