Mitchell & Brown offers retailers £2,000 of free products as first prize in Summer of Sport competition

Bolton-based Mitchell & Brownis running a Summer of Sport window display competition and consumer prize draw to celebrate the lifting of some restrictions on sporting events and the feast of top sporting competitions set to run through the summer.

The in-store competition encourages retailers to design and install “a unique, eye-catching window display showcasing some of the brand’s key selling points.” The in-store competition is supported by a consumer prize draw promotion, offering three lucky Mitchell & Brown TV customers their money back on TVs purchased during the summer sporting season.

The window display competition starts with a large window banner and online assets supplied by Mitchell & Brown, and the rest is up to the retailer and their sports-themed creativity.

The top window display submitted will win TV prizes up to the value of £2000 at retail (£699.99 and £529.99 for the first two runners up), but “the real benefit,” says Mitchell & Brown, “is in attracting customers into store and encouraging a big screen TV purchase for the season ahead. Mitchell & Brown will help generate additional exposure for competing stores through its various marketing platforms and social media, adding to the sporting buzz and excitement.”

Dan Brown, Director of Operations at Mitchell & Brown, added: “Large sporting events always increase TV sales and this summer’s post-lockdown sporting schedule is packed with major competitions. To help our retailers make the most of this opportunity, our Summer of Sport campaign combines a consumer prize draw and fully supported retail window display competition to raise brand awareness and drive customers into store. In addition to the prizes, we are supporting the campaign with a raft of digital assets, window banners and co-promotion of participating retailers’ window displays.”

Once the competition is closed, an independent judge will select their top three favourite window displays. Retail winners will be announced before 1st August 2021 and receive their Mitchell & Brown prizes (to sell or use as staff incentives), as well as being a major part of Mitchell & Brown’s dealer focus and PR over the coming months.

Big screen, 4K Smart TVs are a major part of Mitchell & Brown’s 2021 line-up, ideal for viewing all the action at Euro 2021, Wimbledon, the Tokyo Olympics, the F1 season and the Tour de France.
