Morphy Richards expands microwave cooking collection

Morphy Richards has expanded its range of microwave cooking products with a new collection using Advanced Heatwave Technology which simulates conventional cooking.

The Mico Collection comprises a Grill, Multi-Pot Cooker and a new-and-improved Toastie maker, all of which have silicone lids or grips that fasten together for use and offer soft-touch handling. The collection is dishwasher-safe.

The Mico Grill has two non-stick grill plates suitable for a range of foods including fish fillets, chicken breast and vegetables and can grill food on both sides at once.

The Mico Multi-Pot features two interchangeable pots to prepare various foodstuffs, from jacket potatoes and poached eggs through to burgers and vegetables, in a fraction of the conventional time. A jacket potato with crispy skin cooks in just 13 minutes, compared to around an hour in a conventional oven, and a burger will cook and brown from frozen in around a third of the normal oven time.

The Mico Toastie has been improved with the inclusion of the staple Mico non-stick griddle plates for enhanced flexibility and can toast – and brown – sandwiches, bagels, croissants and other breadstuffs.

Annaliese Curtis, Marketing Manager at Morphy Richards, said: “Microwave food is loved for its convenience, but it can lack the flavour and freshness of food cooked conventionally – Mico is our answer to that. Mico’s innovative technology has now been applied to a wider range of products and we hope it will transform the way we use our microwaves even further.”
