NAD Introduces “Value” CD Player

As an “affordable complement” to its classic components range, audio, home theatre and custom installation manufacturer NAD Electronics has announced its new C 538, described as “a performance CD player engineered for musicality, simplicity and value.” The company believes that, although music downloads and streaming are continuing to grow in popularity, many consumers possess collections of CDs “and need a quality player to enjoy them.” The C 538, says NAD, is “designed as either a music lover’s first CD player or as a quality replacement,”  employing “many of the same engineering techniques found in audiophile players but at a fraction of the price.”

Features include: CD, CD-R and CD-RW playing; MP3 and WMA playback support; Wolfson High Spec 24/192 DAC; Stereo Analogue Output; Coaxial Digital Output; Optical Digital Output; Repeat Mode for single track or entire CD; Program Play up to 20 tracks; Random Play; Repeat, Track, File Folder, All, A-B functions; IR Remote supplied; <0.5-watt Standby consumption; Detachable AC cord

The C 538 is available now with an MSRP of £249.00.
