New AV receivers from Marantz

Marantz has expanded its AV receiver range with two new models said to offer enhanced performance through careful design and selected components and additional features to make music and movies more enjoyable. The SR6013 and SR5013 receivers are compatible with the latest immersive 3D audio formats and offer comprehensive network and Internet music streaming via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. HEOS integration enables the sharing of music with complete multi-room audio systems.

SR6013 at a glance

  • 9.2-channel AV receiver / 11ch processing
  • 185W per channel of Marantz amplification
  • Eight HDMI inputs and three outputs with 4K Ultra HD (60Hz) video futureproofing and upscaling to 4K (50/60Hz)
  • Expandable to 11.2-channel operation with preouts for each channel
  • 3D immersive sound with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X/Virtual:X
  • Audyssey MultEQ XT32, Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ; compatible with Audyssey app
  • Music streaming at up to DSD5.6MHz, plus Deezer, Internet radio, Spotify Connect and Tidal
  • Front panel USB audio input
  • HEOS multiroom built-in
  • Alexa voice control (where available) of major functions via HEOS Home Entertainment skill, via firmware update
  • Marantz Remote app control
  • Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay2 wireless music streaming
  • Marantz Current Feedback design and HDAMs, plus separate DACs for each channel
  • Moving magnet phono stage for a turntable
  • 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi for better performance in crowded wireless environments
  • Easy set-up and control, plus energy-saving Intelligent ECO mode

As SR6013 except:

  • 7.2-channel receiver / 7ch processing
  • 7 x 180W Marantz amplification for room-filling sound
  • Two HDMI outputs to feed a TV and projector, with 4K Ultra HD (30/25/24 Hz) upscaling
  • Audyssey MultEQ XT with Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ

The SR5013 and SR6013 will be available in August 2018 in black or silver-gold at SRPs of £849 and £1,249 respectively.
