New Dimplex Opti-V freestanding fires

Dimplex has released two new freestanding Opti-V electric fires which were previewed at the 2015 Hearth & Home show.

The new Cellini and Volterra models combine the latest HDTV technology to create a 3D effect of flickering flames with smoke and burning embers, with audio footage of crackling logs.

Both new lattice-framed designs feature real fire footage displayed on a High Definition LCD screen and incorporate low energy LEDs for the fuel bed and lighting. They are remote controlled with sound effect volume control.

Jonathan Smith, product marketing manager at Dimplex, said: “Our Opti-V range uses the latest innovations to deliver a stunning visual and audio flame effect all year round and these new freestanding models represent further development in the technology behind Opti-V.

“For the first time, the same 3D illusion can now be viewed from a variety of different angles, and not just at eye level, allowing for more varied designs and options of where customers can place the fire in their home.”
