New Philips 2016 UHD and FHD TV ranges unveiled

TP Vision has revealed its 2016 range of Philips TVs and has announced that the entire UHD range will be HDR compatible. A new HDR Upscaler means all content can be viewed with HDR performance.

Highlights of the new range include the 7601 series which features direct dimmable 2D micro-dimming technology previously only found on the flagship 9000 range and the 8901 AmbiLux TV featuring Ambilight Projection with its nine rear-mounted pico-projectors that extend the on-screen image onto the wall behind the TV.

Philips’ Ambilight technology now also features on more of the range than before.

A new Philips FHD TV range has also been announced, including the 5211 series TVs, the first all-in-one solution combining TV, monitor and Bluetooth speaker functionality. The 5211 integrates a Bluetooth speaker into the stand of a Full HD TV.
